Champagne Lepreux-Penet Millesime 2011 Grand Cru
- Our family cultivates the passion of the vine in Champagne region since 8 generations.Thanks to the invaluable genealogical researches from my grandfather Jean Marie PENET, it is necessary to go back up to 1660 to find the first wine grower of the family.
Until 1930s, our grape was sold to the big houses possessing a press. It is due the crisis of 1929 with the fall in price of the kilo of grape that urged my great-grandfather to make his own champagne.Then my grandfather JEAN-MARIE PENET succeeded him and continued his work. It is the union of his elder daughter FLORENCE PENET and JEAN-PAUL LEPREUX who symbolized the creation of the brand LEPREUX PENET.
Today with my husband François, we immortalize this beautiful family history by exploiting 8 hectares of vineyards classified GRAND CRU on the municipalities of Verzy and Verzenay, in the heart of the mountain of Reims.From the culture of the vine to the magic of the bubbles in your champagne glass, all the stages are realized by ourselves and with a particular care within our domain so as to allow a precise and perfect traceability of our champagne wines..
We practice a reasoned vine-growing in agreement with its environment and our champagne at the same time, joins in a traditional oenology and the forefront of modernity.
