Domaine Arnoux Hautes Cotes de Beaune 'Sous la Muree" 2018
The estate is located in the heart of the village of Chorey- lès-Beaune in the Côte d'Or, and was created in 1950 by grand-father Rene. It is now managed by Pascal Arnoux, 3rd generation since 2008. Pascal is very close to the land, he tirelessly works the soil by hand.
He produces a large range of Cote de Beaune wines from his 20 hectares, which favour freshness over big structures.
His father was a cooper, therefore he became an expert in choosing barrels, even though there is very little new oak in his winery.
He produces around 8000 cases a year and only 3500 bottles of this Hautes Cotes de Beaune, reflecting beautifully the delicate and floral aromas of the terroir.
The vineyards are worked sustainably to respect the terroirs and they only intervene, using the least harmful products only if unavoidable to save the year's crop. All harvests are done manually.
